Tips for using your pizza stone

Soapstone pizza stones are an amazing and powerful product. They really work to help you prepare the most delicious pizzas you have ever served. But they are also a special natural product and to get the most from your pizza stone you should consider the following tips:

The first time you use your pizza stone, it is recommended that you scrub your pizza stone with soap and water before using it to guarantee that it is completely clean.

This step is only necessary before first use.

Before using your pizza stone apply a small amount of vegetable oil on both sides of the pizza stone.

Set the oven temperature to 350°F and bake for two hours.

The reason soapstone is great for cooking is that it has amazing thermal properties and maintains the heat for long periods of time. That’s why it is important for you to make sure your pizza stone is completely cooled to room temperature before handling.

To get the best cooking results, allow your pizza stone to reach the desired temperature before placing your uncooked pizza on the stone.

It is highly recommended that you use a pizza peel to get your pizza off your pizza stone in and out of the oven or grill.

Soapstone pizza stones reach the temperature set on the oven or grill. Until you get used to using your pizza stone, it is recommended that you keep on eye on your food in the oven or grill, to make sure it does not get overcooked. Or remove the pizza stone and pizza carefully, and let the pizza stone and pizza final cook outside the oven or grill. Soapstone pizza stones are the only stones that retain the temperature for long periods of time.

To clean your pizza stone use warm water and mild soap detergent.. Use a brush or metal scraper, if necessary.
